I specialize in pediatric dentistry. When I built my office a few years ago, I had in mind a plan to include a large area in the lobby dedicated for a children's play area. My idea was to build a play structure that encouraged creative play, rather than the typical video game consule. I decided to design the structure around a spaceship theme. My goal was to create an environment inside to resemble a spaceship cockpit, which allowed children to push lighted buttons that made all kinds of sounds. I knew that I was going to need some sort of circuitry that would provide for that. I had no idea at the beginning where to look and who to call.

Fortunately, I was able to find PRICOM on the internet and was able to pitch my idea to them. PRICOM was very instrumental in providing the necessary hardware to allow me to install over 30 arcade-style buttons that light up and provide audio sounds. I ended up using PRICOM's Dream Player PRO along with 7 of their Opto-Input Boards, which allowed me to assign certain audio .wav files to 32 buttons. Not only that, I also used a couple of their relay boards that provide power to a couple of buttons that trigger a seat vibrator and a red beacon light.

When we finished the space ship two years ago, it was an instant hit! To this date, hundreds of children have enjoyed pretending to be an astronaut, pushing buttons as fast as they can as they imagine blasting off to the moon. We have no issues whatsoever with any of PRICOM's boards and I've been very impressed with the durability of PRICOM's products. I definitely would not have been able to complete this one-of-a-kind project without their help!
